Danish club is the top financial performer of 2021

The last couple of years, has been a financial challenge for every club around the world and the outcome for each club varies. Alone in 2021 some clubs still struggle financially with the impact where the financial aspect has been a catastrophe, while some have had a great year.

Once a year the journalism site Off The Pitch are crowning the 10 top-performing clubs in the world, based on an financial level. The best performing club in the year 2021 is the Danish club Brøndby IF, which have had a great year with their first Superliga Trophy in 16 years and their run in the European football. In the top 10 financial performers in the world, we also see Atalanta from Serie A, Club Brügge from the Jupiler Pro League, Hibernian and St. Mirren from the Scottish Premier League.

Most noteworthy is, that there are three Scandinavian teams in the top 10 financial performers, and all three teams became champions in their respective league. Here is of course the Danish team Brøndby IF but also Bodø/Glimt from Eliteserien and Malmö FF from Alsvenskan.
